Some Keyboard Shortcuts for WINDOWS 8

Keyboard Shortcuts:

When you hit the Windows Key, you will find the new Start screen.
Windows Key + Search Term and you will be able to find applications just like the search feature in the start menu of Windows 7.
Windows Key + D will take you to the desktop. It will also minimize or restore all of your open windows when you are in desktop mode.
Windows Key + Q will show you all of your installed apps.
Windows Key + W will enable you to do an instant settings search.
Windows Key + F will enable you to do an instant search for files.
Windows Key + I will give you the settings for the sidebar.
Windows Key + P will show you a list of multi-monitor options. This will also be helpful if you want to set up an external monitor or a projector.
Windows Key + X will give you a Power user shortcut menu. You will be able to access Device Manager, Control Panel, Command Prompt, Power Options and many more.
Windows Key + Z will show you an application bar in the Metro applications.
Windows Key + . (period) Will snap all of the Metro applications you have to the right side of the screen. If you press this twice, it will snap them all to the left of your screen.
Windows Key + . (period) + Shift Will enable you to snap the selected Metro application to the left side of your screen.
Windows Key + J will enable you to switch the focus between Metro applications.
Windows Key + Page Up / Page Down will move a full screen Metro application to a secondary monitor, if you have one.
Windows Key + Left Arrow / Right Arrow will enable you to both move and snap destop application in the direction you select. Also, it will be able to move applications to a different monitor, if you have one.
Windows Key + Tab will enable you to cycle through open applications.
Windows Key + L will enable you to lock windows.
